Ghana Union Norway formally Association of Ghanaians in Østlandet is the oldest association of Ghanaians in Norway. Formed in the 80s, and is one of the oldest association of Africans in Norway. It is led by a President who is assisted by an executive. Presently, officials are elected for five years term.

 The executive is currently made up of Mr Richard Yaw Asante as president who appoints his Executive office holders to assist him on his term of office. 

The Union  is free to join and is Mandatory ( Voluntary ) for all Ghanaians in Norway.

 

The organization is devoted to protection and promotion of Ghanaians and members interests.

  It shall teach and work actively to promote our cultural and harmony among

members in the quest for closer national and social integration.

   The Union shall act on behalf of Ghanaians in Norway as a link between Norwegian Authorities,The Ghana Embassy in Denmark and Ghana Government in Ghana 

and other Ghanaians in Norway and Scandinavia in particular and the world at

large.

Membership is open to all natives of Ghana, their offspring resident in any part of Norway as well as Norwegians and people of other nationalities in Norway.
